Summary
Montserrat's Remote Worker Stamp lets eligible people live in the territory while continuing employment, client work, or business activity based abroad. Applicants need at least USD $70,000 in annual income and health insurance valid locally, supported by the appropriate contracts or ownership records.
The permission is for a temporary stay of up to one year, with the current law providing a renewal application before expiry. It does not authorize local employment or confer residence rights. A longer-term plan must therefore be assessed separately from the ability to work remotely for this period.
-
Before applying Prepare remote-work and support evidence Document the foreign employment, business, or client work, required income, and Montserrat-valid health insurance.
-
Up to one year Continue the approved remote work Use the stamp for the authorized temporary stay while maintaining its conditions.
-
Before expiry Address any renewal in time Review the current renewal rules and apply at least one month before expiry if seeking another period.
The stamp does not authorize local employment or confer residence rights. A renewal application is a separate step, not an automatic extension.
