You may have Andorran nationality of origin if one of these fits:

Where the ten-year parental-residence period was incomplete at birth, nationality is provisional. It must be confirmed before majority or within the following year, once the parent has the uninterrupted ten years; alternatively, the person may confirm after personally completing ten years of principal and permanent residence, including the five years immediately before confirmation without interruption. A justified extension of the confirmation period is possible in limited one-year increments, up to three, where the person proves they have no other nationality. Missing confirmation causes loss of the provisional nationality.

Foundling or otherwise-stateless nationality can also be lost during childhood if foreign parentage is established or a parent's nationality later passes to the child under the conditions stated on the official page.

These are alternative legal bases. Birth in Andorra or an Andorran ancestor alone does not settle the case.

What This Route Allows

This route can confirm nationality held from birth or document a provisional nationality that must later be confirmed. Once the status is established, the person can obtain Andorran nationality and identity documents under the ordinary documentary process.

What This Route Is Not

This is not unconditional citizenship for every person born in Andorra or every foreign-born child of an Andorran. The transmitting parent's own birth, ancestry or residence basis matters. A provisional birth rule is not permanent unless it is confirmed in time. A grandparent can matter only through the specific parent-and-grandparent formulations in the law; ancestry alone is not enough.
